A truck carrying five people went off Highway 19 into Cowie Creek north of Fanny Bay on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and everyone in the truck was transported to hospitals. One was taken away by air ambulance, CHEK News reported.
Two adults and three younger people, with one aged 12, were in the truck.
The truck dropped about 20 metres from the road into the creek.
Officials said that the truck occupants were returning from tubing at Mount Washington and that the truck went off a bridge.
Search and rescue crews from Arrowsmith and Comox Valley SAR helped to get the vehicle’s occupants to emergency crews.
Drivers were directed to a detour via Highway 19A at Buckley Bay Road and Cook Street Road.
